Duolyte Z

Description

Duolyte Z is a specially formulated oral rehydration salt (ORS) with added zinc, designed to rapidly restore body fluids and electrolytes lost due to diarrhea, vomiting, or dehydration. Each sachet contains a balanced blend of essential electrolytes, glucose, and zinc sulfate (4.4 mg) to help replenish lost nutrients, promote faster recovery, and support immune function.

Composition:

Each 4.4 g sachet contains:

• Sodium Chloride BP: 0.52 g
• Potassium Chloride BP: 0.30 g
• Sodium Citrate BP: 0.58 g
• Glucose (Anhydrous) BP: 2.70 g
• Zinc Sulfate (Monohydrate): 0.011 g
• Excipients: q.s.

Indication:

Duolyte Z is indicated for the prevention and treatment of dehydration caused by acute diarrhea, gastroenteritis, or other conditions that result in significant fluid loss. The added zinc helps reduce the duration and severity of diarrhea, particularly in children, and supports overall immune health.

Dosage:

• Children under 6 months: 50-100 ml per episode of diarrhea.
• Children 6 months to 2 years: 100-200 ml per episode of diarrhea.
• Children over 2 years and adults: 200-400 ml per episode of diarrhea.

Administration:

1. Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 200 ml of clean, boiled, and cooled water. Stir until fully dissolved.
2. Administer the solution slowly, in small sips, at regular intervals.
3. Use within 24 hours once prepared. Discard any unused solution after this period.
