Event Recap: “Fresh and Confident – Hygiene Tips for Pre-Teens and Teenagers”

On Wednesday, 29th January 2025, Sheffield Private School hosted a highly informative session titled “Fresh and Confident – Hygiene Tips for Pre-Teens and Teenagers” at Library 218. The event was led by Dr. Nasreen Chidhara Pari, a gold medallist and Specialist Paediatrician, certified in BLS, PALS, and NRP. Known for her empathetic approach and expertise in child and adolescent health, Dr. Nasreen brought both professionalism and warmth to the discussion.

The session focused on the importance of personal hygiene during the pre-teen and teenage years—critical years for physical development and emotional growth. Dr. Nasreen discussed basic hygiene practices such as regular handwashing, brushing teeth, showering, and covering the mouth when coughing or sneezing. She also addressed puberty-related hygiene concerns, including body odour, genital hygiene, period care, and shaving, delivering her points with clarity and sensitivity.

Students responded with enthusiasm, showing genuine interest through their questions and interaction. The open and respectful environment allowed them to learn without embarrassment, and many expressed that the session helped them feel more confident and prepared to manage their personal hygiene routines effectively.

Sheffield Private School thanks Dr. Nasreen for her valuable contribution and commends the students for their active participation. Events like this reinforce our commitment to student wellness, equipping young minds with knowledge and confidence to navigate the challenges of growing up. We look forward to more such educational initiatives in the future.
