Description
Consaid 40 mg is a sterile, lyophilized powder containing Parecoxib Sodium, a water-soluble prodrug of valdecoxib, formulated for intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection. Parecoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor, providing effective short-term management of acute post-operative pain.
Composition:

- Sodium carbonate anhydrous

Indication:

Dosage and Administration:

Reconstitution Instructions:
- Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with:
- 2 mL of sterile water for injection
- Or 0.9% sodium chloride solution
- Gently swirl (do not shake) until a clear solution is formed.
Dosing (Adults):
- Initial dose: 40 mg
- Subsequent doses: 20–40 mg every 6–12 hours as needed
- Maximum dose: 80 mg/day
- Maximum duration: Typically not more than 3–5 days
